Thank you so much for taking the time to meet up with our mid and make his birthday special. Your message honestly means more to us than you probably realize. It is such a comfort as a parent to hear that he is doing well, especially after knowing how challenging Plebe Summer was. Thank you also for the picture; seeing his smiling face on his birthday, on such a beautiful Annapolis day, was the best gift we could have received. It’s hard having his first birthday away from home, so knowing that you were able to meet up with him and help him feel remembered and celebrated means so much to us. We are incredibly grateful for your kindness and for looking out for our midshipman. It truly takes a village, and we feel very fortunate that our son has wonderful people like you in his corner.
