About 

Christy Morgan has been a military spouse for over 25 years. She shares her home in Annapolis, Maryland with her husband, a Naval Academy professor,
and four children - one of whom is already on the path to serving in the
​military himself.

Having lived in Annapolis over 20 years and been sponsors to countless midshipman, Christy and her family have witnessed the commitment and endurance of Naval Academy students from I-Day through Commissioning Day. It is an honor to watch them grow and serve.

Hugs from Home was born out of a desire to bring happiness alongside the path these midshipmen trod, knowing their families are often far away. After Christy's oldest went away to college and experienced some difficulty adjusting, she decided it was finally time to make Hugs from Home a reality.
